With so many of us heading to the beach or pool in order to beat the heat, we’re taking on the fierce subject of babies and swimming. So many new parents, and even veteran ones wonder when they should teach their babies how to swim. Of course there is no perfect answer for every family, but some folks seem to feel that it’s natural for an infant so why not teach them early on. Other experts feel we should wait. Read on for answers that may help your family to decide what’s best for you. 

How old were you when you learned how to swim?

Maybe you’ve noticed some of the swimming baby videos that have been going viral. If not, here is a really neat one that amazed us. Most importantly, this adorable little girl doesn’t look like she was ever in danger. According to what we read, her parents were right there and able to jump in at any time.

With more and more water accidents and drownings happening, it may be a good idea to teach your little ones to swim. There are so many safe ways to accomplish this. The water safety tips alone are good tools to learn, but the skill of swimming is something that your kids will have for a lifetime.
